As a Manager and Loan Officer at First Home Mortgage’s Fairfax Branch, Marc Aymard (NMLS #483530) draws on 11 years of mortgage lending experience to make your loan process the best it can be. Marc has earned top service awards from PNC Bank, Bank of America and First Home Mortgage during his career. In 2013, Mortgage Executive Magazine listed him in the top 1% of loan officers nationwide. He credits his success to creating an amazing experience for clients.
In 2011, Marc joined First Home Mortgage, a private lender in the Washington, D.C. area, because it gives him the flexibility to work closely with clients, manage the entire mortgage process, and respond quickly to questions, requirements and changes in the industry. Here’s why he chose First Home:
- First Home has 24 years of excellence in mortgage lending.
- The processing and underwriting are in-house, so Marc can manage all steps in the loan process.
- The company fosters a culture of customer service from the top down.
Marc has since become one of the top loan officers for First Home.
Marc has always been driven. He earned a BS in Aeronautical Science at Embry Riddle University. While there, he learned how to fly planes and was ranked as the #2 pilot in the nation by the National Intercollegiate Flying Association. When he later joined United Airlines, he was the youngest pilot in the company.
After the industry contracted following September 11th, it was time for a new career and Marc left commercial aviation. He knew the real estate industry well because his mother was an agent for 25 years, so he became a mortgage loan officer.
Marc worked for PNC Bank (then National City) in 2003, and he later joined Bank of America. As he assisted hundreds of homebuyers on their loans, he quickly realized how much clients worried over securing a loan and how the mass of regulations overwhelmed them. Marc wanted to find a way to serve clients better and reduce their stress.
As a result, Marc has developed an engagement model based on educating clients so they feel comfortable with the process. He engages homebuyers personally, answering questions and providing objective advice. He’s created a detailed system that guides them through the mortgage process and avoids nasty surprises. His clients continually comment on his professionalism, responsiveness and immense knowledge.
Marc still loves aviation and lives in Northern Virginia with his wife and three daughters.
