First Home Mortgage is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, mid-level Title Reviewer to join our dynamic and growing corporate team at our Middle River, MD corporate headquarters. This is a full-time, remote position and an excellent opportunity for a title processor interested in using his/her unique skill set for career growth and expansion into the mortgage or financial industry.

Position Responsibilities

  • Perform reviews of the contract, title binder, signing authority, power of attorney, survey, etc., to ensure clear title and accuracy of documents.
  • Engage with title company partners to request additional documentation and revisions as needed.
  • Follow-up for requested documents as needed to ensure reviews are completed in a timely manner.
  • Utilize Encompass dashboard to ensure reviews are completed when title work is received.
  • Act as a resource to the Closers and the branches regarding any title issues and perform any necessary research.
  • Work with the AVP, Closing on escalated title issues.
  • Assume other responsibilities as directed by the AVP, Closing.

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2+ years title processing, examining, abstracting, or related experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Willingness to learn mortgage systems, processes, and regulations (training provided).

Starting Salary

  • $42,000 – $53,000 annually, based on education and qualifications
