With more than 20 years of experience in the mortgage industry, Jose Strickland brings extensive knowledge, leadership, and a client-first approach to every transaction. Currently with First Home Mortgage, Jose has built his career serving in multiple leadership and production roles, including Sales Manager, Branch Manager, and Mortgage Loan Officer.

Throughout his career, Jose has helped homebuyers, homeowners, investors, and real estate professionals navigate a wide variety of financing needs. His areas of expertise include FHA loans, VA loans, conventional financing, DSCR investor loans, and other residential and investment-property financing solutions.

Having worked through changing housing markets and lending environments for more than two decades, Jose understands that every borrower and every transaction is different. He takes pride in looking beyond the numbers, understanding his clients’ goals, and helping identify financing strategies that make sense for their individual circumstances.

A Washington, D.C. native, Jose attended D.C. Public Schools and graduated from Washington Dick Street Academy in Washington, D.C. His local roots, combined with decades of mortgage experience, have given him a strong appreciation for homeownership, real estate investment, and the role they can play in building long-term financial stability and generational wealth.
